In the wake of turbulent years in Turkey, a group of security experts, deeply committed to bringing their country to the level of Western civilizations, especially in the realms of justice and human rights, founded the Stitching Justice and Human Rights Foundation in the Netherlands. These people, unwavering in their mission to advocate for justice and human rights, persisted even in exile, continuing their efforts to serve the greater good.
Every element of our website, from its colors to its structure, holds deep meaning and symbolism. Let’s briefly explain:
The Dominant Color: Black
Black, a color often associated with mourning and sorrow, reflects pain and sadness. Those whose tireless work for human rights, was dismantled overnight. Once defenders of justice, they found themselves victims of human rights violations. The black on our site stands as a testament to that grief and loss.
The Accent Color: Gold
Gold, representing nobility and honor, is the other color we chose. As the saying goes, “Gold does not lose its value when it falls to the ground.” Despite the immense challenges we’ve faced, we have not abandoned our sacred mission. We continue our fight for justice and human rights, no longer just in our homeland, but on a global scale. The gold symbolizes our determination and the dignity of this cause.
An ancient story inspires us on this journey:
When Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) was cast into the fire, a small ant was seen carrying water toward the flames. When asked what it was doing, the ant replied that it was trying to extinguish the fire. In response, people scoffed, saying its small efforts couldn’t possibly make a difference. The ant, however, delivered a powerful reply: “It may not extinguish the fire, but I want my stance to be clear.”
As the Stitching Justice and Human Rights Foundation, we are like that ant. Our impact may be small right now, but our hopes and determination are vast. We believe that every small action can be the seed for great change. Our mission is to leave a better world for our children and future generations, which is why we proudly stand for justice and human rights.
We start with a simple but dynamic, powerful motto:
“We care about justice and human rights for our future.”
