As it is known, December 10 is celebrated worldwide as Human Rights Day.

The significance of this day stems from the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) by the UN on December 10, 1948. This pivotal document declared the inalienable rights of every individual, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender, language, political opinion, or any other status, marking a turning point for humanity and the global recognition of human rights.

Despite the significant efforts and progress made in safeguarding human rights since 1948, violations still persist globally. Millions of people in various parts of the world continue to face oppression, discrimination, poverty, and violence. This reminds us that much work remains to be done to prevent human rights violations. The fight against such violations is not the responsibility of a select few but a collective duty that transcends individuals, communities, and nations.

As the Justice and Human Rights Foundation, we are committed to defending justice, being sensitive to all human rights violations wherever they occur, and amplifying the voices of victims. Our efforts focus on advocating for the rights of those affected by human rights abuses and raising awareness about these issues. We also prioritize defending the rights of refugees and migrants amidst growing displacement crises and supporting their integration into new communities.

On this Human Rights Day, we renew our pledge to stand against injustice and work toward a world where human dignity is respected and protected. Human Rights Day is more than a commemoration; it is a call to action. The struggle for human rights is the struggle of all humanity.
