The Justice and Human Rights Foundation was established by academics and public and security experts.

The fields of expertise of the founders and volunteers of our foundation include human rights, political science, international relations, public administration, security sciences, criminal justice, criminology, and sociology.

Our foundation, in general, aims to;

• work against human rights violations,
• support those who are exposed to violations of rights,
• support people’s right to a fair trial,
• share knowledge with the public on issues of justice, freedom, and security.

Our mission is to work to prevent and stop human rights violations, to support the victims of human rights violations and their relatives, to ensure human rights for every individual and to support justice against human rights violations.

Our vision is to form a world where every individual’s human rights and freedoms are fully guaranteed and justice is provided.

Our foundation adheres to the following principles.

Impartiality: It is independent and consists of volunteers.

Human rights: It defends universal human rights.

Equality: It is against any form of discrimination.

Torture is unacceptable: It is always and everywhere against torture and ill-treatment, no matter who is doing it or against whom.

Justice for everybody: Justice should be for everybody. The right to a fair trial and defense is an indispensable right everywhere and under all circumstances.

Depending on the resources it has, the Foundation aims to:

• Carrying out studies to prevent human rights violations,
• Developing legal methods of fight against human rights violations,
• Investigating the activities of law enforcement in the context of human rights,
• Carrying out preventive and deterrent practices on torture and ill-treatment,
• Producing or sharing publications such as reports, bulletins, articles and books on human rights violations,
• Producing solutions by conducting research on the victimization experienced by those who have had to migrate or seek asylum as a result of the violation of their human rights,
• In line with the EU acquis, producing project-based joint studies with institutions and organizations operating in the fields of human rights, freedoms, and justice,
• Supporting people who are victims and helpless due to their fundamental rights and freedoms being violated and restricted by unlawful practices, and announcing their victimizations,
• Guiding victims on international human rights mechanisms,
• Providing support to victims of migration or asylum as a result of human rights violations to regain their violated rights,
• Communicating with people, institutions and organizations working in the fields of human rights and justice for a more just and human rights-based society.
